If a number looks wrong
This is the most useful message you can send. Every figure on this site is meant to be checkable against a manufacturer’s published specification, so if you have checked one and it does not match, we want to know.
Two things make it faster to fix:
- The page it is on, and roughly where.
- What you believe the correct figure is, and where you found it.
What happens next is set out in full on the editorial policy page: we check it against the manufacturer listing, correct the page, update its last-checked date, and if the correction changed a recommendation, add a one-line note saying what changed. Silent edits are not acceptable here.
Product suggestions
If there is a product you think belongs in one of our rankings, tell us. What helps most is a link to the manufacturer’s listing, because the first thing we will do is look for the published specifications — and if a product publishes nothing, it is difficult for us to place it against ones that do.
If you work for a brand
You are welcome to send us corrected or additional specifications for a product of yours, and we will use them and cite you.
What we cannot do is accept a sample, take a paid placement, or agree to a review in exchange for anything. We do not test products, so a sample would have nowhere to go, and accepting one would mean disclosing it on every page that product appeared on forever. The reasoning is on how we research.
