Stockings are bought on the photograph and hung on a mantel that has a fixed amount of edge. Almost every set is 18 inches long, almost none publishes a width, and the width is the figure that decides whether four of them fit side by side or overlap into a row of fabric.

The arithmetic nobody does before buying
The arithmetic

Four stockings on a 60 in mantel hang clear. Six on the same mantel start to touch, and touching stockings read as a curtain.
That is why the Fesciory set publishing a 5-inch width takes the top spot. It is the only listing here that lets you do this calculation before ordering, and on a shallow or short mantel it is the difference between a considered row and a crowded one. The holders themselves are ranked on stocking holders.
What each material does when the stocking is full
Cable knit holds its shape and stretches under weight, so a filled knit stocking hangs noticeably longer than its stated 18 inches. Allow for that if the mantel is low or there is a fire below it.
Burlap is stiff and holds an outline, but an unlined burlap stocking sags through at the toe with anything heavy in it. The double-lined Ivenf set is the one that solves that, and it is the reason it ranks above its own better-looking sibling.
Felt is the most forgiving: it does not fray, snag, or stretch, and it survives being pulled off a mantel. The embroidered felt set is the practical family choice for exactly that reason, even though it reads cheaper at close range.
Four identical stockings is a problem on Christmas morning
Most sets ship as two colors across four stockings, which means two matching pairs rather than four distinguishable stockings. That is fine as decoration and awkward in practice.

Storing them so they are not creased next year
Stockings are textiles and they go away in a box with other textiles. Two things matter: fold rather than stuff, and keep them off the bottom of a deep tote where the whole collection sits on top of them.
Knit in particular takes a crease that shows on a hanging stocking. The general textile method is on a storage system that survives January, and where the box then lives is on attic, garage or basement.

Check the hang loop length first: a 3-inch loop reaches over a holder hook but not always over a thick rail. Ribbon ties are the usual answer on a banister and need no loop at all.
