24 drawers or 25
A 24-drawer calendar counts the advent days and stops on Christmas Eve. A 25-drawer calendar gives Christmas Day itself a drawer. Neither is wrong — the 24 is the older tradition — but in a house where a child opens a drawer every morning, the 25th being empty is the kind of thing that gets noticed at 6 am. Three of the five here have 25.
What actually fits in a drawer
