How many sets a tree takes
This site’s ornament convention is 12 per vertical foot for a sparse tree, 18 for a normal one and 25 for a full one.
The arithmetic
- 7.5 ft tree, normal: 7.5 x 18 = 135 ornaments
- Sparse: 7.5 x 12 = 90; full: 7.5 x 25 = 187.5, so 188
- In 24-packs: 135 / 24 = 5.6, so 6 packs for normal
- In 30-packs: 135 / 30 = 4.5, so 5 packs
A normal 7.5 ft tree takes about 135 ornaments — six 24-packs or five 30-packs. A dozen-count set is an accent, not a tree.

Two sizes give a tree depth
The Sea Team 30 is the only set here with two sizes: 25 at 70 mm and 5 at 50 mm. Smaller ornaments near the top and deeper in the branches, larger ones at the tips and toward the bottom, is how a tree looks decorated rather than dotted. That single detail puts it ahead of the 24-count version of the same ornament, our skip.
Hooks or ribbon
