A door cover is a printed fabric panel the size of a door. Hang it and the front door becomes a haunted house, a skeleton or a horror poster, with nothing to plug in and nothing to anchor. It is the fastest Halloween display there is, and on an apartment door or a tiny stoop it may be the only one.

What the numbers mean on a door
The arithmetic
- Standard front door: 80 in x 36 in
- 6 ft cover = 72 in tall: 8 in of door left showing

- 2.5 ft wide = 30 in: 6 in left, 3 in each side
Most covers leave a strip of door showing somewhere. Hang a 6 ft cover from the top edge so the gap falls at the bottom, behind a doormat or a pumpkin, where nobody looks.
The horror movie cover at 6.6 ft is the only one that reaches the full height. The Breling is the narrowest, and its 3 in side margins read as a frame rather than a mistake — which suits a friendly design.
How it hangs is the real spec
The Blulu is the only listing here that spells out its hanging kit: copper grommets at the corners and 20 ft of string. That is why it ranks first. For the others, plan your own — removable adhesive hooks at the two top corners of the door, or an over-the-door hook at each top corner of the kind sold as wreath hangers.
Secure the bottom corners too. An untied fabric panel on an exposed door lifts like a sail in the first gust and pulls the top hooks with it.
Fabric outdoors
The Blulu is sold as washable, tear-resistant polyester, and the haunted house cover as polyester with a non-fading print; the rest do not name the material. A covered porch keeps rain off any of them. On a door that faces the weather, take the cover in before a storm: a soaked fabric panel is heavy, and hooks that held it dry may not hold it wet.
Scary or friendly
Four of the five go for scary — horror posters, a slasher movie, skeletons. The Breling is the one friendly design, and on a street full of small children it is the right door. The rule on family-friendly Halloween decorations applies here more than anywhere: the front door is the decoration a four-year-old stands closest to.
A door cover with the rest of the porch
