The best Halloween graveyard fences, measured by the foot
A fence is what turns a row of tombstones into a graveyard. Height, panel size and how many feet a pack actually covers decide which one.
By Sawyer V. · Published

Tombstones scattered on a lawn are props. The same tombstones behind a low iron fence are a graveyard, because the fence draws the boundary that tells people it is a scene. It also does something practical: it keeps trick-or-treaters on the path and off the display.
The only number that matters is how many feet of fence a pack actually makes, and most listings bury it. We worked it out. Five below, one to skip.

The picks in full

#1 — The only run published as a length
Bat garden fence, 10 pieces, 10 ft x 24 in, rustproof metal wire
10 ft of run at 24 in high, rustproof metal wire
8.8
/ 10
The pick. A published run in feet, the tallest height here and a published rustproof metal, which is as much as this category now tells you.

Good
- The only fence here whose run is published as a length rather than left to our arithmetic — 10 ft, stated, so what you are buying needs no interpretation
- At 24 in it is the tallest fence on this page, which is the height that reads as a boundary rather than a border marker
- Rustproof metal wire is published, where three of the five listings here say nothing at all about what they are made of
Watch out
- Ten feet per pack is less than the Cinnvoice set's computed 18 ft, so a long path takes two packs
- No published chain or connector, so whether the ten pieces link into a continuous line or stand as separate panels is unclear until it arrives
- Wire fencing reads as fencing rather than as a Halloween motif at a distance; the bat shapes only show close up
Specs from the Amazon listing (ASIN B0H3NT7C8J), verified via the Creators API 2026-10-09. Replaces B0H4YS7MDG, the Ugyan 8-stake fence, which Amazon now shows as currently unavailable — the second listing to go from this slot. No live listing in this field publishes a rod diameter, a wall thickness or a spike length any more, so the published 13 mm rod, 0.8 mm wall, 15 cm spike, plastic chains and splice assembly have all been removed rather than carried across. This listing publishes a 10 ft run, a 24 in height and rustproof metal wire, and the entry is written from those.

#2 — The longest run per pack
Cinnvoice Halloween skeleton fence, 10 pieces, 22 x 11 in
10 panels at 22 x 11 in, about 18 ft of run

Best coverage: ten panels to line a path, if you can accept not knowing what they are made of.

Good
- Ten panels is the longest run here — enough to edge a whole front path
- Both panel dimensions published
Watch out
- Material not stated, which for a ground stake is the spec that decides if it survives
- No connecting chain, so the panels stand as separate pieces

#3 — A short, tall run
Metal Halloween bat fence, 4 sets, 23.6 in, with connecting chains
4 sets at 23.6 in, chains included
6.8
/ 10
Best for a short stretch: four knee-height stakes with chains to close off the front of a display. Buy two packs if it has to run a path.

Good
- Twenty-three and a half inches is knee height, which is the height that reads as a real fence rather than a border edging
- Chains are included, which is what turns four stakes into a fence line — two of the five listings here leave you with unconnected panels
- Publishes both a metal construction and a weatherproof claim, where the panel sets on this page publish neither
Watch out
- No published run, so how much path four chained sets actually span is unknown before it arrives — chain length is the figure this listing withholds
- No published panel width either
- Four sets is a step, a gate or the front edge of a bed; it is not a path
#ad · Price as of October 10, 2026 · How we are funded
Specs from the Amazon listing (ASIN B0H4Y7H8VN), verified via the Creators API 2026-10-09. Replaces B0GX6TGZFP, the Otoolling 4-piece bat fence, which Amazon now shows as currently unavailable. Otoolling's live 4-piece is the skull version, also unavailable, and its live bat set is the 2-piece that already carries this page's skip — so this is a cross-brand replacement at the same variant class, a short run of tall pieces. The published 19 x 20 in panel size is NOT on this listing and has been removed; this one publishes a 23.6 in height, a metal construction, a weatherproof claim and included chains.

#4 — Low border with a chain
Metal Halloween fence stakes, 10 pieces, 16 in, with chain

Good
- Ten metal stakes and a chain for a continuous low border
- Metal at a low price point
Watch out
- 16 in is the shortest here — a border marker rather than a fence
- Total run not published

#5 — skip this
Otoolling Halloween bat fence, 2 pieces, 20 x 19 in
2 panels at 20 x 19 in

Good

Watch out

How we ranked these
Run per pack first, then build — metal rod versus unstated material — then height, then whether the panels connect to each other or simply stand near each other.
| Fence | Pieces | Panel size | Run per pack | Connects |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wire fencing, 10 ft | 10 | 24 in high | 10 ft, published | Not stated |
| Cinnvoice | 10 | 22 x 11 in | About 18.3 ft | No |
| Metal bat sets, 4 | 4 | 23.6 in high | Not stated | Chains included |
| 10 metal stakes | 10 | 16 in high | Not stated | 1 chain |
| Otoolling 2 | 2 | 20 x 19 in | About 3.2 ft | No |
Run per pack is panel width times count, or the listing's own chain figure — our arithmetic where marked.

How much fence a path needs
The arithmetic
- Example front path: 20 ft from sidewalk to step (an assumption — measure yours)
- Fencing one side: 20 ft
- Wire fencing at a published 10 ft per pack: 20 / 10 = 2 packs exactly
- Cinnvoice at 18.3 ft per pack: 20 / 18.3 = 1.09, so 2 packs, with spare
No pack here fences a 20 ft path on its own. Plan on two packs for one side of a 20 ft walk, or use a short run to close off the display's front edge only — which is usually where the fence does its work anyway.
Knee height or ankle height
The wire fencing stands 24 in and the 4-set bat stakes stand 23.6 in. Both are knee height, which reads as a real fence. The 16 in stakes are ankle height: a border marker that edges a bed but never looks like a graveyard boundary from the sidewalk.
The one listing that publishes its metal
A fence spends October in wet ground being stepped over, and this field has stopped publishing the figures that would tell you whether it survives that. Not one listing here now states a rod diameter, a wall thickness or a spike length. Two state the material and nothing more: the wire fencing publishes rustproof metal wire and the 4-set bat stakes publish metal with a weatherproof claim. The other three say nothing at all about what they are made of. If the display goes out every year, buy from the two that at least name the material.
What goes behind the fence
A fence is the frame; the graveyard goes inside it. Tombstones at the back, skeleton animals at the front where people can see the detail, and fog low across the ground if the night is still. Light it from the side rather than head-on; the options are on Halloween display lighting.
Why the 2-pack is the skip
The Otoolling 2-pack is the same panel as its 4-pack sibling and makes about 3 ft of fence. Three feet is a gate, not a boundary, and at that length the panels read as two signs standing near each other.
Questions
›How much Halloween fence do I need?
Measure the edge you want to draw. A 20 ft path needs about two packs of anything here: roughly 10 ft per pack for the chained metal set, 18 ft for the ten-panel set.
›How tall should a graveyard fence be?
Knee height, around 22 in, reads as a fence from the sidewalk. 16 in stakes are a border marker rather than a boundary.
›Do the panels connect to each other?
Two sets here include chains. The rest stand as separate panels, which looks fine spaced evenly but will not make a continuous line.
›Will fence stakes survive being left out all October?
The one listing that publishes its rod diameter and wall thickness is the one to trust. The others say metal or nothing at all.
